THE wife of top goalie Paddy Kenny admitted being a love cheat yesterday — as the Premiership ace recovered from having his eyebrow bitten off in a fight over her honour.
Blonde Karen Kenny, 25, told how she had dumped the Republic of Ireland star for a mate who works at a brewery.
And she said of the split from her husband, who lost his brow scrapping with a pal who ALSO claimed to have bedded her: “It was all my fault.”
The mum of two denied the second fling but confessed she and brewery worker Paul Binns, 24, had been seeing each other for a month.
Karen, whose husband earns £20,000-a-week at Sheffield United, has now turned her back on her WAGS lifestyle to be with her £400-a-week lover.
She said: “Paul and I started our relationship in October after exchanging text messages. Paddy knew nothing about it and was very upset when he found out.”
She stressed: “He is a brilliant dad and footballer and has been a good husband. He has done nothing wrong. The ones who have done wrong are Paul and me.”
The goalkeeper’s eyebrow was bitten off on Monday in a 3am brawl at an Indian restaurant in Halifax, West Yorks.
A pal he was with had boasted he too had an affair with his wife. Kenny, 28, was kept in hospital overnight and needed 12 stitches.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Karen branded the other man’s claims “garbage”.
She said: “I am having a relationship with Paul. There is no one else and there never has been. What this other man is saying is completely untrue.”
Lover Paul, who was a guest at Karen’s wedding two years ago, said: “I have been friends with Paddy for years. I am sorry that this has happened but I can’t help how I feel.”
Karen added: “I still care about Paddy. He is my best friend.”
She admitted she had not seen him since he lost his eyebrow, saying: “The last time was over a week ago when we took the kids to see Disney on Ice in Sheffield.”
